Introducing StormOptimiser 3.0 (Beta)

StormOptimiser 3.0 is now in beta and introduces new features to make it easier than ever to optimise PPC campaigns across engines and even across different sites.

StormOptimiser 3.0 enables you to build tiered strategies so that higher volume keywords are optimised individually and lower volume long tail keywords are managed collectively. This is achieved by analysing the performance of individual adgroups, keywords and creatives where volumes are high or groups of adgroups, keywords and creatives where click volumes are low.

The groups can be based on campaign structure which in turn can be mapped to external data for custom grouping. This technique allows account managers to logically group campaign structure enabling optimisation decisions to be based on higher volumes of traffic and therefore more statistically sound.

That’s not all, also in Beta:

Agency and Site Level Profiles
  • Profiles can now be created across different sites and search engines
  • Create one strategy across multiple sites and engines

 

Profile Screen
  • The new profile screen allows custom grouping of your campaign much like a report. E.g you could group by keyword across all engines and optimise to the overall performance across engines rather than separately for each engine.
  • Grouping across engines and sites expands the data available and helps when optimising lower volume keywords
  • When used with custom columns and custom files groupings can be customised e.g group by destination country or target postcode if these are defined within the campaign structure

 

Custom Columns
  • Design your own formulas like you can in Excel
  • Remove Excel from the optimisation process
  • Formulas only need to be defined once in Storm – saves time and removes scope for mistakes

 

Custom Files/Data Feeds
  • Functionality to import any data and match/map it to data stored in Storm
  • Map in stock levels or price information and create strategies to optimise based on these values
  • Map in dynamic CPA or ROI targets which can vary by adgroup or keyword if required

 

Pending Changes
  • New pending bid and pending status fields enable Storm to calculate new bid prices according to your rules and then for account managers to review before posting the changes to the engines
  • Pending changes can be reviewed prior to posting to engines
  • UI allows account manager to override pending changes easily
  • Pending changes can be reviewed in report if required

 

Enhanced Flags 
  • Named Flags can now be set at campaign, adgroup, keyword, creative level. The flag values data type can be defined as money, date, text or numeric and then used in calculations in custom fields. You can also set a flag at a different level of the campaign, e.g. you can select an adgroup in the adgroup screen and set keyword flags for all the keywords in those adgroups
  • Values calculated in one screen can be easily passed to another
  • Flag values can have data types defined and then used in custom columns. E.g. set a data flag of when to optimise next and then create a custom column to display the days until next optimisation

 

Quick Tasks
  • Quick tasks enable you to run tasks without having to save the profile or task
  • Saves time executing tasks
