API to all major engines

Our Storm Search Engine API is responsible for the flow of data to and from the search engines. Whether you’re optimising keywords or synchronising campaigns, the Storm Search Engine API does the hard work for you.

API to all major affiliate networks

Most affiliate networks these days offer API access to sales and revenue data. We have worked hard to ensure that all of the major affiliate networks are covered. We also have a backup feature that allows you to manually upload sales files for any unsupported networks or 3rd party tracking systems. It is also possible to automate the importing of sales files from an external FTP site.

Flexible PPC optimisation

Optimise your PPC campaigns at the campaign, ad group, ad copy or individual keyword level. If your PPC campaigns are large and organised into custom groupings and categories other than campaigns and ad groups, you can define these custom groupings in Storm and then optimise one against another.

Harvest long tail keywords

Storm for Affiliates™ will automatically gather the search terms that the user enters into the search engine before they reach your sites or campaigns. You will be alerted as to whether you already have these long tails as part of your PPC campaign and if they are not there you can export them and add them to the search engines as exact match terms. This is a very effective way of reducing overall PPC costs while increasing the quality of your PPC traffic.

Quality score analysis

Look behind your PPC keywords to see the quality of your keywords in the eyes of Google. By tweaking your landing pages, ad copy and keyword relevance you can increase your quality score and view the effects of the changes you make in your Storm reports. With a high quality score your PPC optimisation tasks are lijkely to be more effective.

Day parting across all engines

Analyse what specific times of the day and days of the week you are generating healthy profit. If it becomes clear that during certain times of the day you are consistently falling short of your targets then you can automatically switch your campaigns off and on so that they only show at the times when they’ll generate the most profit.

PPC click path analysis

Storm for Affiliates™ monitors every single click on all of your PPC ads over time. Because we track at user level we can allocate the entire PPC search history against each sale that is generated. That way you can avoid disregarding keywords that make a valuable contribution to the success of your campaigns.

Custom calculated fields

If your key performance indicators are derived from calculating profit from a number of different measures you can easily add your own custom measures into Storm for Affiliates™ on a campaign by campaign basis. You can calculate measures by using any formula you would use in Excel. You can even take a campaign name that consists of delimited text values and create individual columns out of each value.

Advanced reporting and analytics suite

If you send traffic through your own website then by adding some simple Javascript tags to your landing pages you can monitor all traffic that passes through your site, from an unlimited number of traffic sources, not just PPC. Storm for Affiliates™ comes inbuilt with our extremely powerful StormAnalytics™ suite which allows you to report on and analyse all aspects of your online marketing, allowing you to make informed decision on your online marketing budget and which marketing strategies work the best on each of your sites.

Multiple users and permissions

You can add user accounts into your Storm for Affiliates™ account and give them various different levels of access. For example if you have multiple sites in Storm you can give individual users access to specific sites only. You can also assign view only access to reports which is useful if you want to give access to third party organisations.

Custom excel templates and online dashboards

With Storm for Affiliates you can create a multiple worksheet report in Excel containing graphs, logos, vlookups and any other formulae you would use in Excel and then upload it into Storm as a template. You can then schedule Storm to populate the template with up to date data and either export it to your users via email or present it in the user interface as a dashboard. You can create as many Excel templates, dashboards and schedules as you like. This feature allows you to generate professional reports in whatever format you need, in as many guises you like to suit all of your users and external clients.

Online pivot reporting

For ultimate flexibility you can pivot on your data in Storm for Affiliates without the need to export to Excel. If you aren’t familiar with Pivot reports then their function is to turn a row value into a column heading.

Graphical reporting

Storm for Affiliates™ has online graphing integrated with the report designer. Any report you design can be output in graphical format

Automate and schedule tasks

You can automate and schedule as many different tasks as you like. These tasks include PPC optimisation and the generation and exporting of reports.

Paid search tracking automation

For Google, MSN and Yahoo Storm for Affiliates™ automatically updates the destination URLs to include tracking parameters. Simply enter the account details and StormAnalytics™ connects via the search engines API and updates the keywords. This feature is efficiency saving but also removes potential human errors when tracking a campaign.

Customisable tracking

We realise that each affiliate has their sites, landing pages and search engine accounts set up differently. With Storm for Affiliates there are various different options available to suite how you have things structured. No matter how complex your setup we can work with you to ensure that all of your activity gets tracked properly.
